The Basics

What is Sweat with Pride?

add remove

Sweat with Pride is a new annual fundraiser that challenges Aussies to get sweaty for 21 minutes  every day in June (i.e. Pride Month!) to raise funds for life-changing rainbow support services. We’re fighting discrimination with perspiration, and every drop of sweat helps raise funds and awareness for LGBTQIA+ communities while celebrating Pride and getting active.

Where does the money go?

add remove

Funds raised go directly to charities that support the health and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ Australians. In 2025, the money you raise will support:

  • Rainbow Giving Australia (RGA)’s Grant Programs, which provide funding to change-making LGBTQIA+ initiatives across the country especially those supporting underrepresented communities

  • ACON is Australia’s leading HIV and LGBTQ+ health organisation, providing inclusive services including sexual health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, safety and inclusion, domestic and family violence, ageing and cancer prevention. ACON provides services locally, state-wide and nationally.
  • Minus18 are Australia's Champions for LGBTQIA+ youth. Minus18 are improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth, and creating an Australia where all young people are safe, empowered and surrounded by people that support them.

Do I have to be LGBTQIA+ to participate?

Not at all! Sweat With Pride is for everyone who believes in equality and wants to support LGBTQIA+ communities. Sweat With Pride is the perfect time to activate your allyship and get sweaty for the communities you care about.

Where did Sweat With Pride come from?

add remove

Since it began in 2020 in New Zealand, more than 10,000 New Zealanders have signed up, gotten sweaty and raised a mind blowing $1,840,486NZ to improve the lives of rainbow Kiwis. Now with the team from Rainbow Giving Australia, Sweat with Pride is ready to make a huge splash in Australia.

Getting Involved

How do I sign up?

add remove

All you need to do is click “Register,” in the top right corner, and you’ll be guided through creating your personal fundraising page. Choose a trainer, set your goal, customise your profile, and then get ready to sweat! Once you’re in, you’ll land on your Sweat with Pride dashboard, your home base for all things sweaty. It’s where you’ll track your progress, unlock rewards, and manage your fundraising page like a boss. Welcome to the team, Sweaty Betty.

How can I personalise my page?

add remove

Make the campaign yours! Under “Edit My Page” you can upload a profile pic, set and change your fundraising goal, and tell people why you’re taking on the challenge. You can even post blog updates to share your wins, proud moments, or just how your glutes are holding up.

How do I share my page and spread the word?

add remove

Once you’re signed up, your dashboard gives you a personal fundraising link to share with friends, family, and followers, found right at the top of your dashboard under your name and fundraising progress. You’ll also find shareable social tiles in the ‘Resources’ tab, ready to download and post. Sharing regularly helps boost donations and keeps your community in the loop as you smash your sweaty goals!

What are my achievements?

add remove

On your dashboard homepage, you’ll see an achievements strip that tracks your campaign milestones like uploading a profile photo, sharing your page, or hitting your fundraising goal. These achievements are mini goals to help you make your fundraising journey more fun, visible, and impactful, and will light up as you hit each milestone!

What are the Sweat Tracker and the Challenge Tracker?

add remove

Both help you stay on track; just in slightly different ways.

The Sweat Tracker is a tab on your dashboard where you can digitally log your daily exercise and track your progress toward the goal of 21 minutes a day throughout June.

The Challenge Tracker is a physical card you may have received when you sign up. It’s a fun, offline way to tick off key campaign milestones, like adding a profile picture or hitting your fundraising goal. It mirrors the “My Achievements” strip on your dashboard homepage, so you can follow along in real life as you go.

What do I get for participating?

add remove

On top of the pride you feel of being part of something that matters, supporting LGBTQIA+ communities while moving your body, we also have several rewards for participating. To get you started, you’ll get a pair of Sweat with Pride socks just for signing up. You’ll also unlock extra rewards the more you raise, with all the details (and goodies) at sweatwithpride.com.au/rewards.

How do I get my rewards?

add remove

To claim your rewards, head to the "Rewards" tab on your dashboard. There, you’ll see which rewards you’re eligible for. Just click “Register” next to each reward to redeem it. We’ll only send them once you’ve registered, so don’t miss that step!

Need a little inspo? You’ve got options:

  • Ask our AI Assistant, Perspira (bottom-right corner of the site) for quick ideas
  • Check your emails for tips from your trainer
  • Or search online for short, fun workouts that match your vibe; dancing in your kitchen or a swim at the beach totally count!

Sweat Together - Teams & Friend Invites

How can I fundraise in a team?

add remove

Sweat with Pride is even better with your crew. You can create or join a team alongside your friends, workmates, or gym partners during sign-up, or if you’ve already created an account on your dashboard. You can create a team from your by scrolling down on the homepage of your dashboard and clicking the "Create a Team" button. You’ll be prompted to set up a fundraising page for your team.

Everyone in your team still tracks their own movement and fundraising, but your totals roll up together. It’s a great way to stay motivated, cheer each other on, and maybe spark a little friendly competition.

How do I join an existing team?

add remove

If there's already a team you want to join, ask the team to share the link to their team fundraising page. Once you're on the page, you’ll see a "Join Team" button just below their image. Click that and you’re in!

What’s the difference between “Invite a Friend” and joining a team?

add remove

Great question. The tab on your dashboard called “Invite a Friend” is about encouraging someone else to sign up for Sweat with Pride. Add their details on this page, and they’ll get an email invitation to register and set up their own individual fundraising page.

Joining or creating a team is about sweating together. You still have your own page, but you can track your progress and fundraising total alongside your teammates.

Technical Support

add remove

add remove
